It's time for the 7th Annual Buddy Walk!

Buddy Walks take place all over the world, but my Buddy Walk is the sole fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley.

About 5 percent of the money we raise goes to the National Down Syndrome Society for national advocacy. The rest stays here in Bryan-College Station to support programs that help people like me who have Down syndrome.

We have reading, math, handwriting, sign language and fitness classes. We send kids to overnight camps. We go camping and swimming and dance together. We have educational workshops for parents and teachers. We send helpful information to new parents and have a lending library with just about any book or video on Down syndrome. Some of the money we raise will help send our members to the National Down Syndrome Convention, which is in San Antonio this year!
