This is a issue close to my heart, and an organization my mother helped become a reality in it's baby days in the 70's.  Help me keep it going.

BARCC helps tons of people thoughout the Greater Boston area recieve the services they need in a safe, understanding, welcoming place. BARCC is the only provider of comprehensive rape crisis services in the greater Boston area. 

Services include a 24-hour hotline, 24-hour ER accompaniment, counseling, legal assistance and community awareness and prevention programs.  In the last year alone, BARCC helped over 4,000 survivors and another 10,000 people through prevention education, training and outreach.

The stats are 1 out of 4 women and 1 out of 6 men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime.  I could not bare to think that they would have no where to go. So for me, my mom, and the poeple in your life touched by this issue don't turn a blind eye. If you cannot do something, maybe you know someone who can. If you are willing to come walk with me, you have no idea how happy you just made me.
