NEBHR has had a very busy year so far in 2010.  We've had 2 litters of puppies totaling 18 puppies!  As many of you know, one of those litters was born at our house and we've been caring for them and their mom for the past 8 1/2 weeks.  It's been a joy and most wondeful experience, but it's also very expensive.  As you know we spay/neuter and have all our dogs brought up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.   That's a lot of vet bills to pay, never mind the addition dogs that we've have and have had in foster care.

I've only been with NEBHR for 4 1/2 years,  but it has become a very large part of my life and although there are plenty of tearful, hard times that we go through.  The joy of seeing pictures and hearing stories from adopters after they get their new basset hound make it all worth while! 

I know it's been a hard year for everyone, but if you can take a moment to donate whatever you can afford I would greatly, greatly appreciate it.  Every little bit helps, so even if it's just $5.
