Autism Society of Acadiana is once again presenting the 6th Annual Walk for Hope and Family Fun Day at Parc International in Downtown Lafayette. The one-mile walk will bring thousands to the downtown area and will kick off a morning of wholesome fun for the entire family.
Immediately following the Walk families and their children will be entertained by: a balloon artist; face-painting activities; fun jumps; a fun slide; a rock wall; video gaming activities; bubbles; a DJ; art and craft activities; Home Depot kids workshop building kits; carnival games and more! Food and soft drinks/water will be provided to all registered Walk participants and Walk volunteers.
This event will also jump-start the Autism Society of Acadiana's recognition of April as Autism Awareness Month for which this year the focus will be how to prevent bullying. An anti-bullying seminar will be presented on April 24th at River Oaks, Kaliste Saloom Rd., Lafayette.
