Most of you know our story, but for those who dont... I can't say how important the Ronald McDonald House was to our family when my brother Christopher was in the hospital at age 2. It kept us together at a time when circumstances tried to tear us apart. Staying in the House connected us with other families in similar situations; Chris is still in contact with a fellow patient we used to watch movies with. The sick kids whose families stay at RMHC need all the love and support they can get - not just emotionally, but for a quick recovery - so I love that there is somewhere inexpensive and compassionate that moms and dads can stay to be with their child. Please consider helping these families in need - RMHC only asks 10 dollars from them per night, but obviously it takes a lot more money for the Houses to operate, and it's pretty much all from donations from fabulous people like you!

I am currently working at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and it has the largest RMHC around, with 87 rooms! The kids at Lurie need their parents there as much as possible to stay well emotionally when they are sick physically, and this new 14-story RMHC helps provide that for their speedy recoveries! There are several other RMHC's in the area as well that your donation also supports.
