2009 Super Plunge

So I completed 14 of the 24 plunges.  We weren't able to start right at 2:00pm because of rains the night before and flooding in the tent so that meant we weren't able to start our first plunge until 5:00pm.  We had to double up on plunges and do multiple plunges to get caught up.  Then at about 3:00am we completed our 14th and final plunge due to a dangerous ice situation that prevented us from continuing........

So why did I do this????

The past few years I have donated to the Crazy for Cole Team and this year I have been inspired to join them in an effort to raise funds for the more than 21,000 Special Olympics Illinois athletes who train and compete throughout the year. Special Olympics IL, currently offers training and competition opportunities in 19 sports, all at no cost to the athletes or their families.

Unfortunately, the cost of some of the bumps in the road that were faced put a dent in the funds that were raised.  My page is still accepting donation and I am still able to accept donations offline as well too!
