Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for running the 2009 Colfax Marathon for Lifespark Cancer Resources !
Almost all of us know someone touched by cancer.  In the last five years, two of my own family members were diagnosed with breast cancer.  Luckily, early detection allowed them to recover fully and they are back to living normal lives.  More recently, two of my most beloved friends discovered breast lumps and went through tests for cancer.  It can be so scary and unsettling to know that someone you love has been diagnosed.  One begins to wonder what can be done to make a difference...

I'm running in the Colfax Marathon because I love this organization!  I love the family of practitioners that are a part of it, the people who benefit from its services, and its mission. Through Lifespark and my private Reiki practice I have treated and tought those who've been diagnosed with cancer.  Reiki and Healing Touch are soooo helpful when it comes to calming the mind and emotions, and restoring a body that is undergoing harsh medical treatments. I will never forget the faces and stories of all those whom I've worked with. 

I am very excited to be a part of the Lifespark Team for this event!  You have probably heard me talk about my work with Lifespark.  As the organization's program navigator and quality coordiantor I get to do some of my favorite things; work with a dedicated group of people and talk about energy therapies.  I encourage you to learn more about Lifespark by reading more about it (over on the left column).

My goal is to raise $200 in support of Lifespark.  I've got my running shoes ready, and am practicing several days a week so that I'll be ready for the 13 mile half-marathon.  I hope you'll help me meet my fundraising goal.
