Stephane Plihon's Pacific Cup 2008 Fund Raiser
In July 2008 I will be racing across 2,100 miles of open ocean from San Francisco to Hawaii on a 24 foot sailboat "double handed" in the
Pacific Cup. That's a 15 day non-stop Adventure: 2 men - 1 sailboat - the Pacific Ocean.
I co-founded
Sailors on a Mission - an all volunteer non-profit foundation dedicated to improving health care for children by raising funds and awareness through sailing adventures.
I chose to help Children's Hospital & Research Center Foundation with the proceeds from my third trip across the Pacific Ocean because my son
Evan Luc benefited first hand from the highly specialized and life saving treatment he received at Children's Hospital Oakland after he was born 3 months premature. I will forever be grateful to those doctors and nurses!
