The Aplastic Anemia & MDS Foundation Intl. was our only resource as Garrett went through his fight with Aplastic Anemia, diagnosed when he was 16, through its mutation to MDS at 21 years.

We have been donors ever since we were able to begin paying the Foundation back for all of its support.  We want to make absolutely sure that the next family who faces this disease does so with a lot more information than we had and that doctors and nurses everywhere can recognize the symptoms immediately and begin the appropriate treatment before it is too late.

Please support our Hope, Steps & a Cure Walk on Saturday, January 16, in Carson, California, near the Home Depot Center.  We will meet at Noon before the Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra Celebrity Soccer Challenge to walk a mile or two for AA&MDSF, Intl.  Then our hope is that all of the walkers will join us for the Celebrity Soccer Challenge at 3:00 pm.  Your contribution of $25 will help us enter that walk and contribute to its success.
