The Free to Breathe Walk is a very important cause to me, personally, as my mother is a survivor of small-cell lung cancer. Her battle with the disease was tough, and although she is free of cancer today, the battle for funding to research this horrible disease continues. Lung cancer is one of the deadliest cancers, and yet is one of the least funded in terms of research.
Our goal, as we walk together and fight for the freedom to breathe, is to make a significant contribution to the National Lung Cancer Partnership and their efforts to erase this cancer that affects so many people, young and old.
