On Saturday, September 17, 2011 Furry Friends Network will hold its 6th annual Race for Their Lives at Gifford Pinchot State Park, Conewago Day Use Area. This event includes a 5K Trail Run and 2-Mile Fun Walk for individuals and teams and is a fun morning for the entire family. This year we race for Pit Bulls and Pussy Cats as we try to raise awareness of the horrifying number killed each day for no other reason than there are simply not enough foster and adoptive homes to help them all.
Well behaved, physically fit, spayed/neutered, licensed and currently vaccinated canine companions are welcome and will receive some special attention for their participation. Special canine awards will be based on pre-registration information only.
Registration is $25 per person until Monday, September 12, and $30 per person on race morning. Payment is required to complete registration. If you are unable to participate in the race itself, create your own Race for Their Lives Fundraising Page to support the cause and help conclude Furry Friends Network's anniversary year celebrations with a fabulous finale!
Register as an individual or form a three member team! Teams will consist of three members only. No teams of combined runners and walkers allowed. Three member team times are totaled for a team score. All team members are also eligible for individual awards.
Click the above JOIN NOW link to register for the race or to create your own race fundraising page.
