In honor of Asher
Do not ask, "Why...," rather, "How can I love him?"
My 3-year-old son, Asher, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, medulloblastoma, on 5/26/06 when he was 3 1/3 years old. He has had two craniotomies to remove 98% of the original tumor. Asher is participating in the Head Start III Clinical Trial. After two rounds of chemotherapy, the residual tumor has already shrunk, but it is not completely gone! He is currently in round three of in-patient chemotherapy and will be in the 4th round during the walk. He will have six rounds of in-patient chemo and then receive a stem cell replacement (bone marrow transplant) around his 4th birthday this coming January. You can visit Asher here: http://www.asherbenjamin.net.
Please help us fight/support/cure brain cancer! Sponsor my walk on October 14, 2006 to raise money for The National Brain Tumor Foundation (NBTF). I'll be walking with Asher's little sisters, Alexa (2 1/2) and Aubree (4 months), too. I'd love some company during my walk.
