Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!  As many of you know, when I was 4 years old my father died suddenly of a heart attack.  My brother was 6 and my mom was pregnant with my little sister.  Like all the families who enter The Children's Room, my family was devastated.  Now, 21 years after my own loss, I volunteer with 3-5 year olds who have lost a parent or sibling.  As a volunteer, I am able to witness first-hand how important the support children receive is to their healing process.  Children gain strength knowing that they're in a safe place with people who have been through similar traumas.  Had The Children's Room existed 21 years years ago I know my family would have benefited from the support offered.  My fundraising goal is $3000.00, because that is the estimated cost to support two children for one year at The Children's Room.  Services at The Children's Room are free, so every donation, however large or small, makes a huge difference.  Thank you in advance!
