This is another way our family has the opportunity to "give back" to the extraordinary facility that has helped Braden be the thriving HLHS child he is today.  The first time I found out about Al's Run was when we were at CHW for Braden.  The many plaques and pictures that adorn the 3rd floor walls were/are very inspiring.  It was during Braden's first open-heart recovery when I decided I too would run this "race."  I knew at that moment that if I could have just one ounce of Braden's determination, I could finish the 8K.  So, on September 15th, the shoes will hit the pavement in honor of our son and every child who has and will walk through those same doors.
