WHAT: I am running the Chicago Marathon to raise funds for Imerman Angels. (Please see left for a brief description.)

WHEN: October 10th, 2010

WHY: I am running in honor of my Dad, Sam. In March of 2009 my Dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer.  He passed away a short two weeks later.  My family didn't need the support that Imerman Angels provides, but I know there are many individuals out there today fighting cancer.  I am running the Chicago Marathon in honor of my Dad and hope to raise a TON of money for Imerman Angels along the way.

WHY IMERMAN ANGELS?: Imerman Angels is a federally registered 501(c)3 Chicago based not-for-profit providing one-on-one cancer support: connecting cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers. The service Imerman Angels provides is absolutely free and connects anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any cancer stage level, at any age, living anywhere in the world in order to build relationships to help fight cancer together. “Cancer survivors are Angels – walking, talking, living proof, that the fighter can win too” (Jonny Imerman).
