Steph's Trek for Children
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! This will be my first time fund raising, so I am admittedly a little nervous.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
In the spring of 2008, I headed south from my home in New Hampshire to Springer Mt. Georgia, starting a 2100 mile journey north to Mt. Katahdin in the north woods of Maine along the Appalachian Trail (AT). I did this to escape the impending pressures of growing up. As I walked, I met many great people with personal stories to share. I learned of community that I had never believed in: a community close and friendly, that cares about total strangers and their well being. I fell in love with backpacking because of that kind of giving community. So, I want to share the love, share the giving.
Once I ended my trip on the AT, I immediately started planning for my next long backpacking expedition, the 2650 mile Pacific Crest Trail. This foot path goes from the California/Mexican border, up into Canada.
I want to use this trip to raise money. I will be stopping in many towns and meeting many people along the way. This would be a great outlet for this caring community to reach further and do more for children in need. This is a personal journey that I would like to use for something greater than improving myself. This time I would like to improve the lives of others as well.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Peace and Love,
