Last year Joe went into strict training to gear up for the Hundred Mile bike ride. He literally spent hours on his bicycle (or other people's as his and mine both broke down during the training). His training paid off and he completed the full Holland Hundred!
Meanwhile, a very pregnant Stephanie and one-year-old Dax did their own training to complete the very hilly 18 mile portion of the Holland Hundred. For any of you who have pulled a Bike trailer with kids and water, you know how difficult 18 miles really is. But Dax and I also prevailed and completed our 18 mile bike ride.
Ironically, the day of the ride was a very hot, sticky day! One that called for massive amounts of water consumption. Fortunately, that was not a problem for Joe and I. For those in Zambia, that is a big problem! While Joe and I have opted to do only the 18 mile ride together due to the ages of our kids and lack of time for training, we pray that you will still donate and help raise money for clean water wells in Zambia. Thank you so much!
