I am running the NYC half-marathon with Life without Lupus on March 18th, 2012 to raise money for Lupus Research.

Lupus is a devastating/debilitating disease that has affected my dear friend Amber Vickers. She has battled this disease for over 14+ years. This disease has affected multiple organs and has caused much devastation for Amber's life. It has not been easy managing her daily fight of this disease, but Amber continues to battle her illness with grace and hope that one day we will find a cure. Amber has an amazing spirit and insight on life and she continues to fight her disease with enormous courage and determination. I would love to find a cure for Lupus, and I am asking all of you to contribute anything you have in hopes that one day Amber's fight against this disease will be without everyday struggles.
