To Our Family and Friends,

In memory of Kathy, our loving sister, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend, we formed our first "Kathy's Team" in 2007.  We celebrated what would have been her 60th birthday by participating in the Samaritans 5K Walk/Run and Family Festival.  It was both a very emotional and rewarding experience.  We know that nothing can bring Kathy back to us, but it was extremely uplifting to share a sense of hope with so many in the crowd, and to feel that maybe we could help save some other families from suffering the loss of a dear loved one in their lives.  We have since returned each year, to remember Kathy in a special way, and to support the Samaritans and their wonderful life saving mission.

The sound of Kathy's contagious laughter lingers in our memories and we still share stories about her amazing imagination and how much energy she added to our gatherings.  We so miss her bright eyes and her ability to brighten our lives and we will never understand the sfffering and pain she endured and the period of  desperation that led to her action.  Kathy gave greatly of herself when she was with us and she inspired many of us to soar high and reach far in our lives. 

With the generous and loving support of so many, Kathy's Team been able to raise over $30,000 over the past 3 years, and we hope to make another impactful contribution this year.  We want to help the committed staff and volunteers at the Samaritans to answer the calls from the growing number of people who are suffering from lonliness or suicidal feelings.  We will be taking many more steps toward saving someone else's life on October 2nd.  Please help us with your support.
