THE PULMONARY HYPERTENSION ASSOCIATION

Steve White's "60/30 Virtual Birthday Party"

Steve White's "60/30 Virtual Birthday Party"

Thank you for visiting my my fundraising page to help find better treatments and a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension!

My beautiful daughter Christen had her breath and her life  taken away by Pulmonary Hypertension on November 3, 2002.

To honor her memory and to give her life meaning, I have created this page to raise money for The Pulmonary Hypertension Association.  PHA offers many support programs to people who suffer from this disease and gives them hope.  It also advocates for more research in the public and private sectors.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to support The Pulmonary Hypertension Association, a wonderful organization that supports patients and their families and caregivers.  PHA also funds and advocates for medical research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension.  Read more about PHA in the column on the left of this page.

As a result of PHA's work there ae many new treatments for Pulmonary Hypertension available that were not available when Christen died. Then there was just one treatment available.  Today there are nine.  And there are many new treatments in the pipeline.  To learn more about the great work PHA does, visit its new YouTube Channel.

Making the biggest gift you can will make you really happy – it really will!  And, of course, it will make me and Christen very happy too.  Not to mention how happy this will make God!

Many of you know the story of Christen giving her coat away to a freezing homeless woman in New York City.  The kid had a great heart!  If you’d like to read this beautiful story again or if you’ve never heard it, you can find it here: http://anglicansonline.org/resources/essays/misc/christenwhite.html

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

God bless you!

Steve White

These two verses from “Innocence” by Anglican mystical poet and priest Thomas Traherne (1636–1674) remind me of Christen, who was born in December.

A joyful sense and purity
Is all I can remember;
The very night to me was bright,
'Twas summer in December….

What ere it is, it is a light
So endless unto me
That I a world of true delight
Did then and to this day do see.
