Conner's Team Walks

2012 Community Walk for Autism Awareness presented by Autism Intervention Specialists

Worcester, Massachusetts

Conner's Team Walks

Once again, Conner's Team will be participating in this 5 mile walk aimed at raising money for the center, while raising overal awareness of the issues associated with autism.  The Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts provides free and low cost services / resources to the families of  more than 2,000 children in central Massachusetts facing the many challenges associated with raising a child with autism.  We have presonally used the services of the center and we believe they provide valuable services to those in need.

If you are going to be in the area on Sunday April 29th and would like to join Conner's Team for the walk, we would love to have you join us!  Please let us know and we will get you more detailed information.  Last year Conner's Team had close to 60 walkers and runners.  We hope to add a few more this year!  We have had many teammates sign up to run the 5k, some for their first ever.  Other members have committed to 'double duty' by completing both the 5k run AND the 5 mile walk.

2012 marks the 11th year that Conner's Team will be walking in this event.  To date Conner's Team has raised more than $100,000 to support the Center and its families.  With your help, we can lead the way again this year.

If you would like to show your support for the cause by sponsoring Conner's Team with a tax deductable charitable donation to the Autism Resource Center, we would greatly appreciate your support.  Checks can be mailed directly to the Ploof Family, 11 Hastings Road, Sterling, MA 01564 and should be made payable to the Autism Resource Center or, you can post your donation securely on this website.  You can direct your donations to the walk or the run - they both go to the same great cause!

Thank you all for your support: past, present and future.  We hope to see you in Worcester on the 29th of April!

Steve, Erica, Conner and Jackson
