Over the past 5 months, I've become involved with the good people at Horizons for Homeless Children (HHC), and I'm happy to have the opportunity to run on their marathon team.

Their schools and programs are serving a real need in the community - we all know that some people are homeless, but we might not want to consider that this means their children are homeless too. And in most cases these are single mothers who find themselves in need of a helping hand, and HHC is set-up to do a lot for these families - the kids get the early childhood education they require and deserve, and the mothers get the break they need (education and job training) to get their lives back on track.

This really is a worthy cause, and your donations will directly help keep the program "running" for the thousands of children and mothers that depend on it every day.
