Yes - I am at it again. I am running another full marathon and need your help!
I was challenged by a Sjogren's patient and dear friend of mine, Anne, to run the full-marathon again his year. You see, she beat me in 2009 by 19 minutes in the full marathon. In 2010, I only ran the 1/2 marathon - so this year - she said she would run the full marathon if I ran it too. So here I am training and not eating so I can beat her in April. :-)
But now I need your help. I have set a goal to raise a minimum of $2,600 for the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation. And as you all know - not only am I the CEO - but my mother also suffers from Sjogren's. So my passion is both professional and personal.
The SSF has made great strides these past few years yet there is so much research we wish we could fund and more awareness that needs to be done. That is why your support is so important. With your donation, the SSF will be able to support more programs that will ultimately help patients like my mother and my friend Anne.
Thanks for considering supporting me. I really appreciate anything you can donate and I know all Sjogren's patients will truly appreciate it as well.
And if you get an inkling, you can also join the marathon program if you want. What's a 26.2 mile run on a Saturday morning - if I can do it - you can surely do it! :-)
Thanks so much!
PS - my picture is of me, my mother my three sons and my nephew and neice! What a great day for a run - 25 degrees on Thanksgiving morning! :-)
