GOAL MET 10/1/08:  We write today to let you know the wonderful news that Allie and Aaron reached their fundraising goal, $10,000.00 for FARA: Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance.  Our new friend, Blair, made the last donation in memory of his dear wife Jan, who passed away in July.  We met him last week as he stopped in Loveland, CO. My brother and I have the neurodegenerative disease Friedreich's ataxia (FA).  We hate what it is doing to our bodies, but we are not without hope for a cure.  Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 for FA research  "1 Buck" at a time.  Hey, everyone can spare a dollar, right?  Please forward this website to all you know, and ask them to keep the email going until we reach our goal.  This is our only birthday wish!

Do it for my brother.....  Do it for my sister..... Please do it for ALL the teenagers and young adults who have FA.

Update 1/16/08:  Our website for the "One Buck" fundraiser was 2nd most popular this past week.  FG even wrote a story about Allie and Aaron and posted it HERE.

Update 1/23/08:  We are overwhelmed with the support of so many!  Read the newspaper article from yesterday's Loveland Reporter Herald.

Update 2/8/08:  One month ago today we created this fundraising website, and with your help we have almost made it half way to our goal!

Update 3/10/08:  Two months and we are over half way to the goal.  You will notice that we now have a great video to show people right from this website. We are not going to give up on the goal.  Just need more publicity, it's a great cause and we need more people to hear about it.

Update 6/8/08:  Thank you for continuing to believe and support our project.  We have not given up and are still working on getting off-line donations to add to the total.  A friend recently put out a bucket at her garage sale and gathered $73.00 for our cause.  Thanks, Mckayla! 

FLASH!  August is Mom's birthday month and she is asking everyone she knows to donate one buck in her honor.  Please help us reach our goal of $10,000 by 12/31/08. (and thank you for all who have already contributed!)
