FREE CANNIBAL RUN ENTRY courtesy of Exciting Windows!

I will be sponsoring a 10-person running team for the Third Annual Alferd Packer Cannibal Run, sponsored by the Littleton Sunrise Rotary and benefitting various local charities.  This is a 5K and 10K race on August 16th that starts and ends at the Riverfront Event Center in Littleton.  If you are interested in running on the TLC Meals on Wheels Team, please send me an email:

ventanas@excitingwindows.com

and I will add you to the team.  The first 10 people to email me will get a free entry fee and free t-shirt, ($25 value) so don't delay. If you'd like to create your own fundraising page to benefit TLC Meals on Wheels, you can do that as well:

Be sure to select TLC Meals on Wheels as your charity of choice.  If you can't run, but would still like to donate, please scroll to the bottom of this page and you can do that as well.

TLC MEALS ON WHEELS

Town of Littleton Cares, Inc (TLC) Meals on Wheels is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the nutritional needs of our neighbors in south metro Denver. A healthy, hot meal is delivered by caring volunteers to the clients' door at lunch time Monday through Friday, for only $3 per day.

For quality of life, a senior remaining independent in the comfort and security of known surroundings is often the best choice. However, many need some assistance. Often one hot meal a day can make the difference between a senior living independently and having to be institutionalized. In addition to the nutritional value of the meals, the social interaction with the volunteers delivering the meal and assuring that the senior is well encourages independence.

Although the average age of TLC's clients is 82, they are not just a seniors' program. They help the handicapped and those in need of short term service.

IN MEMORY OF KENNY AND ADELINE

Meals On Wheels in Northwestern Ohio helped my grandparents remain independent when declining health made it difficult for them to prepare meals for themselves in their home.  I am dedicating this fundraising effort to the memory of Kenny and Adeline as a way of thanking the Meals On Wheels organization for their efforts on behalf of my family. Please help me in supporting the great things that TLC Meals On Wheels does for our community.
