Red is looking for love and a human of his very own!
Red was a stray tomcat neutered via FFN's TNR program. After spending a little time indoors before and after his veterinary care, Red no longer wants any parts of living outdoors. Red wants desperately to have a human of his very own.
Red may have never spent much time in a home before, but someone must have loved him as a kitten. He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES people, especially his guardian angel who brought him in from the cold. Red purrs loudly just at the prospect of a human paying him some attention and loves to be held. Red acts like a large kitten, exploring and getting on top of and into everything. He has a solid and muscular build and is very athletic from his time surviving on his own. Red's only fault is that he does not play well with others and incorporating him into a household with multiple resident and foster cats has not gone well to date. There's a significant possibility that Red needs to be an only cat; he may have spent too much time defending his outdoor territory to want to coexist with any other dominant kitty personalities. So Red currently lives in a cat tower when he'd rather be lounging on the bed or watching birds by the window all day. Red actually loves his cat tower accommodations; it seems he associates it with food and a warm place to sleep.
Red is probably also not a choice for a home with children; he is much too rough with claws flying quickly, carelessly and diligently in intense pursuit of toys and play mice instead of the real mice he most probably used to catch to survive.
Red is neutered, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for FeLV/FIV...and nicely fattened up in contrast to the skinny, parasite ridden boy befriended by an FFN volunteer a few months ago and brought inside to discover the wonders of a warm indoor home...
This boy is a real lover!
