Last year we ran the Chicago Marathon for water... this year is the Des Moines Marathon, to build a school for the little ones!  They currently meet, in the non-rainy season, under a tree for those 4th grade and under.  With no current school building, they can't bring in a teacher for those older than 4th grade.  But with your help, love and support, we can help change all that!  Our total team goal is $110,00.00 and we have almost 200 team members this year!

I didn't know if I could do this again, once may have been enough, but that thought was chased from my mind when I heard our mission for this year.  I am inspired to bring hope, education and love to the lives of these little ones so that they can help their communities become so much more!  Thru last year's experience I learned I can go further than I dare to go sometimes and I know this is true in all of us, even these little ones.  They just need someone to believe in and encourage them as well!

If this cause also hits your heart strings too please give as little or as much as you can.  We are so blessed to have running water, warm homes (and air conditioning for some of us), dry beds and more than enough food to eat.  These little ones still want to learn even though some are struggling with so much less than we have.

I was completely humbled to tears today, 10/11/10, as I recieved a VERY generous donation that pushed me far pass my personal goal...not because I had reached something.  I am humbled that God would stir something in some of us to give so generously.  And encouraged to think of what the children in this village are going to receive because of these awesome generous gifts! And Inspired that this is what I get to think of at mile 20 when I still have 6.2 miles to go!  THANK YOU God and supporters!!!
