Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I was diagnosed in December 2003 with Sjogren's Syndrome, a devastating disease in which the body's immune system attacks the moisture producing glands. While the hallmark symptoms are dry mouth and eyes, it is a systemic disease effecting the entire body and can cause serious dysfunction to other organs (similar to Lupus). In particular, Sjogren’s patients have a significantly higher risk of developing lymphomas. By looking at me you would never know that I have Sjogren’s Syndrome, or that I am in pain most of the time, or that it takes a multitude of prescription medications to treat all the various symptoms I live with.

It is common for it to take over six years from the person's onset of symptoms to the diagnosis.  This is why we are asking for your donation to fund research and education so that people can be diagnosed and treated earlier, hopefully avoiding the development of serious complications.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
