This is my third year running this 5K for the Humane Society, dodging dogs and other runners as I trot for over 3 miles around beautiful Wildwood Lake in Harrisburg.  It's a great event!  You should either donate money to the shelter right now or sign up for your own fundraising page, raise money and come out to run or walk, yourself.

This year, I had the honor of bringing home a cat from HSHA.  I adopted Gobbler in January after her nine-month stay at the shelter. She's lucky...some cats have been there for over two years.  With over 500 animals at the shelter for potential adopters to walk around & meet, it's easy to be overlooked!

Gobbler is grateful to be home, but I feel like the lucky one in this deal.  She brings such joy to this boring apartment. :)  Please support her catfriends and all the other dogs, rabbits, etc. who are still stuck at HSHA, longing for their forever homes.
