Thank you for visiting my 2009 Walk for Farm Animals fundraising page!

I'm participating in the Walk for Farm Animals to help Farm Sanctuary raise awareness about the realities of factory farming. The annual Walk for Farm Animals helps fund Farm Sanctuary's education and advocacy efforts. Our walk in Truckee,ca will be on Oct. 10th rain or shine. Last year even tho it was raining we had 22 people show up and we managed to raise over $3000.00 ! It was a very important walk as were educating people about Prop. 2 which won by 67%. There is still much work to be done for farm animals and that is why we are walking again in support of Farm Sanctuary.

Farm Sanctuary is the nation's leading farm animal protection organization. Since incorporating in 1986, Farm Sanctuary has worked to expose and stop cruel practices of the "food animal" industry through research and investigations, legal and institutional reforms, public awareness projects, youth education, and direct rescue and refuge efforts. Farm Sanctuary shelters in Watkins Glen, New York, and Orland, Calif., provide lifelong care for hundreds of rescued animals, who have become ambassadors for farm animals everywhere by educating visitors about the realities of factory farming.
