Imagine being told that you have an incurable disease that you have never heard of.  What happens next? 

That's exactly what happened to David Emerson, the founder of the Galen Foundation, when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma.  Not accepting his fate, David did extensive research and sought out an alternative treatment that saved his life.  Inspired by his success he started the Galen Foundation, a Cleveland based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people battling cancer manage their health and live longer, better lives with specialized online communities.
