Sue Stefan's Fundraising Page

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.

You can support my efforts through Team World Vision by making a one-time tax-deductible donation.  Imagine your generosity making life so much better for children who live in poverty.  Join me to make a difference in this world!

The reason I want to run a marathon is to do something bigger than me.  I know that on my own I can not do this.  God is in this and he is giving me the passion to run and to change my life in ways I never could imagine.  Yet scripture tells us "For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."  So my hope is that this physical training would lead to better health and accomplishment but also to spiritual growth and making life better for others.  World Vision is helping me in both endeavors.

Training for a marathon is much more than running.  I've had help from many people, starting with my personal trainer, Jerry Leland.  When I first met Jerry, I told him that I always wanted to run and he convinced me that I could!  I also had help from Arlington Chiropractic, from Dr. Christa Andreoli doing my spinal adjustments, to Dr. Whitaker doing physical therapy and awesome stretching, and Dagmara who gives the best massages ever!  Dr. Gerald Andreoli helped me with my anti-inflammatory diet and to know my food allergies.  Their holistic approach was exceedingly helpful in my training.

My church and pastor, James McDonald, help keep me on track with spiritual training.  Pastor James is preaching " A Primer on Trusting God,"  something he is experiencing now as he is facing a difficult time in his life.  Check out www.harvestbible.org to listen to this message (check on Media).  You may also like Jame's blog - I recommend "Seeing the Power of God at Work."

Thanks for visiting my web page and helping raise money for children and families in Africa.  This is a great cause, near to my heart, and I hope you will join me.
