I'm thrilled to participate in my second NYWC Write-A-Thon!
But, I need your help to make it a success!
If you believe everyone has a story to tell, please give what you can!
When you sponsor me as a Write-a-thon participant, you're supporting social justice through free creative writing workshops throughout New York City. Even a donation of $1 helps this volunteer-based organization help historically sidelined communites find their voice through the craft of writing.

More about the WRITE-A-THON:
This daylong writing marathon will benefit NYWC's free creative writing programs. NYWC is one of the largest community based writing programs in the world, and each week their dedicated group of workshop leaders lead dozens of free workshops for at-risk youth, the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated, the homeless, the disabled, war veterans, immigrants, seniors, LGBT youth and adults, cancer survivors, and many many others who wouldn't otherwise have access to the power of creative writing. They serve more than 1,000 people a year in free creative writing workshops, which is an amazing accomplishment!
I am especially excited that this year is NYWC's 10th Anniversary, and I'd love to help them meet their fundraising goal! Your pledges will help NYWC continue to offer free, unique and powerful creative writing workshops in neighborhoods throughout NYC, publish inspiring books and hold exciting public events like NYWC Day, the Fort Greene Park Summer Literary Festival, Write-Makes Might , The Write Stuff , the Writing Aloud Reading Series, and much much more.
P.S. Please consider joining me at the Write-A-Thon (click here to register/make your page), and please spread the word to anyone who might want to attend or make a donation!
