As you know, each year I celebrate the memory of my mother, Julie Bakula, by riding for Team Alpha-1 in the American Lung Association Autumn Escape Bike Trek.  Mum and I used to do the trek together -- she would volunteer and I would ride.  I continue this tradition and do my best each year to take this opportunity to raise awareness of Alpha-1, as well as riase funds to further the research that will someday very soon find a cure for this genetic lung disease.
