Did you know that the majority of women substance abusers have suffered childhood sexual and physical abuse, and that 90% of women in treatment programs have histories of domestic violence? 72% of crimes committed by women in federal prisons are drug related. These women do not have healthy coping mechanisms to support themselves through recovery and to maintain sobriety. This leads them back to their addiction and the cycle continues. 

yogaHOPE is an important part of stopping this cycle. Help support the development and integration of yogaHOPE trauma-informed programming in facilities for women who's lives have been negatively effected by trauma.
