Dear Family and Friends,
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED ME LAST YEAR! Check out some of my photos from the 2011 Dance Marathon and our dinner at the Chancellor's House!
I am so thankful for each and every one of your donations! I hope to BEAT my goal for this year! And yes, that means raising over $1,228! I am so excited about the opportunity to help out such wonderful non-profits. If you or someone you know want to donate, this is the place to do it! You will receive a receipt via email for tax-deduction purposes.
I am registered to dance in the 9th Annual Dance Marathon at Appalachian State University on Saturday February 25, 2012. Dance Marathon is an event where I, along with hundreds of other students, will be dancing for 15 hours straight (if you've ever seen me dance before, you know what a challenge this will be) to raise money for hundreds of local kids and their families. Our Dance Marathon directly benefits the Children’s Miracle Network, the Western Youth Network, and the Parent to Parent Family Support Network. Each dancer for Dance Marathon is challenged to raise at least $150 for the kids, and I need your help to reach my goal! Please donate to support this great cause and know that any contribution will go directly to serving the kids and families of the High Country of Western North Carolina.
The Children's Miracle Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children in Children’s Hospitals, covering everything from premature birth to childhood cancer. Funds go to the closest CMN Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, where they help to pay for research, training, equipment, and uncompensated care for local kids and families in need. The Western Youth Network provides after school, mentoring, summer, and many other services to local kids in need in the High Country. Parent to Parent Family Support Network helps local kids with disabilities of all kinds and their families.
Local kids and their families depend on the services of all three of these non-profits, and Dance Marathon is a crucial fundraiser for them. Without our help, these agencies will not be able to offer the quality programs that they have in the past and I am determined to help improve the lives of local kids and families. Any contribution you can make would be greatly appreciated by me and the High Country community!
Here's how he Western Youth Network can use your support:
$25-Allows a child to attend After School for one week
$50-Sponsors two families to participate in a 9-week parenting class
$100-Allows six children to particpate in a weekend adventure-based trip
$300-Sponsors one child in WYN's 5-week Summer Program
$500-Provides transporation for all WYN Services for an entire month
$1,000-Provides a child with a mentor for ONE YEAR!
You can donate online with a credit card. All donations are secure and sent directly to the non-profits affiliated with Dance Marathon (WYN, PTP, and CMN) by FirstGiving, who will email you a printable record of your donation for tax deduction purposes.
Please send my page on to anyone who might like to donate! Every little bit counts!

Deuteronomy 15:11
Give freely and spontaneously. Don't have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers God, your God's, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures. There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors.
