Sturge-Weber Month of Awareness
Hi, I'm Sydney. Six years ago I was born with Sturge-Weber Syndrome(SWS). Sturge-Weber Syndrome is a rare congenital condition that may cause glaucoma and seizures. Because of this, I have undergone five eye surgeries (three for glaucoma and two for a strabismus) and seventeen laser treatments to lighten the port wine birthmark on my face. This is in addition to the several EEG's, MRI's and eye exams under anesthesia. I also take a daily regiment of medicine to regulate my seizure activity. Please help me in supporting the Sturge-Weber Foundation (SWF). The SWF provides education and friendly support through its publications, its website, personal networking and referrals to medical specialists. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page to benefit the Sturge-Weber Foundation.
