Yet when we think about our sister & friend Harli we know anything is possible! Everyday she faces obstacles we can't imagine, she struggles to do the things we find so simple, like walking, feeding herself, asking for a drink of water. She combats seizures and the frustration of not being heard.

Using a typing device Harli once described herself as "brain no broken but some curves in road."

The obstacles an curves she faces on her journey are much greater than any course or race we could challenge ourselves to and Harli....she faces this every single day and

She does it like a WARRIOR EVERYDAY

Harli has Angelman Syndrome. Its a rare neuro-genetic disorder that causes severe developmental delay, lack of to little speech ability, seizure and balance disorders. Individuals with this syndrome will always require 24/7 care!

Research costs MONEY!! No way around it! The more money you have the further your research can go!  And unlike other syndromes, diseases and illnesses our researchers are CLOSE! They have already CURED AS in a mice model!! They are currently undergoing intensive research on CURRENT FDA APPROVED drugs to determine and develop a real treatment for many of the symptoms of AS. These studies haven't only yielded astounding results in both motor & cognitive abilities of AS but has demonstrated amazing ramifications for Alzheimers & Autism as well.
