Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the South End Knitters!  We're a group of men and women who get together to knit and talk about knitting.

As we have been knitting together we have started doing group projects, which then led to fundraising.  Our last effort was for the Animal Rescue League with $500 raised.

We are now working on blanket squares that will be sewn together during the 3rd Annual Pine Street Inn Knit-a-Thon in November 2009! All the knit-a-thon knitters will gather to assemble the squares into blankets. All funds raised will go to Pine Street’s mission of placing homeless people into permanent housing. And the blankets? Each homeless person who is successfully placed receives one, as a very special housewarming present!

The South End Knitters is group of knitters that live/meet to knit in the South End of Boston. We have been trying to work on squares on Sunday afternoons.

As a group we have completed dozens of squares and raised nearly $2000 so far but we are not at our goal yet!
