Dear Friends and Family,
Once again, I will be participating Mass Audubon's Bird-a-thon - or what I am dubbing 2010: A Bird Odyssey! While this is my fourth year as part of this fun 24-hour birding event, this year is particularly special to me as I am raising money on behalf of my new sanctuaries, Oak Knoll and Attleboro Springs Wildlife Sanctuary at LaSalette.
For those who might not yet know the particulars, Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding adventure during which the Oak Knoll team will count as many Massachusetts bird species as we can, raise money for important conservation and education programs, have fun outdoors and compete for prizes (sometimes in the pouring rain!)!
Please consider donating to this great cause! Your donation dollars support the good work that happens at Oak Knoll every day, from feeding our four resident turtles in the Nature Center, to helping a child discover the secret life of a dragonfly, to listening for owls just before dawn at the field at Attleboro Springs.
I appreciate your generosity and support and hope you will consider donating today!
Thank you.
-Tara
