hi, my name is tara. (: you probably found this page from facebook or just browsing, but this is my story:

when i was 9 years old, i found a charity called barkapalooza that came around my birthday every year. i decided to look into it and i thought it would be nice to raise money for the charity instead of getting things i don't necessarily need for my birthday. now, barkapalooza is a charity for shelter animals who don't always get adopted. barkapalooza helps spread the word on these animals and other shelter animals around the state of illinois. i am an extreme animal lover, and have quite a few pets on hand for myself, so i could not even imagine seeing them locked in a cell - every minute of every day. and the shelter around my neighborhood takes in abused animals, too, so i couldn't even imagine seeing my dogs gone, let alone abused. i wanted to do my good deed and plead everyone to please donate. so far, i have collected money and donated around $1,600, which i think has been amazing effort so far. i'm turning 13 this year, making it my fourth year donating, so i'm asking to please do the kind favor and donate to shelter animals in need of help. ):
