Everyone- As you all know, my whole family- parents, aunts, uncles, and most of my cousins have grown up under the poverty-stricken conditions of the Gaza Strip, one of the poorest areas in the world.  Though my kids Zade, Sereen, Halah, and Lana haven't had to endur what most of my family has had to endur in Gaza over the past few decades, I've worked hard to keep them connected to their land and roots. To that end, Zade and Sereen are going to be doing this 5K run with me (along with Halah and Lana in a stoller :) ) so they can do what they can to help the less fortunate kids in Gaza with the basic necessities that the United Nations Relief and Work Agency is able to provide.  Please consider donating whatever you can to help me teach my kids what a difference they can make in other people's lives and help end hunger and poverty in Palestine.
