Team Didlake's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting the fundraising page for Team Didlake! "Team Didlake" ” will field a team of participants who each pledge to raise $950 to support Didlake. Additionally, some members of team Didlake will be donating a portion of the money they raise to Jacob’s Ladder, in support of teens with autism.

About the Marathon
The 35th Marine Corps Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Arlington, Virginia. It is nicknamed “The People’s Marathon”, because it is the world’s largest marathon to not offer prize money. This years marathon was sold out to 30,000 participants from all walks of life who continue the combined tradition of dedication, sportsmanship, and patriotism. Didlake is a social enterprise dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities. For more than 40 years, we have provided wide-ranging resources that expand opportunities for people with disabilities in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Our support services include training that prepares individuals to enter the workforce and our award-winning Business Solutions provide jobs for many of the people we train. In addition, Didlake’s Personal Support Network provides long-term support for persons with disabilities who outlive their primary caregivers.
Family members, business partners and community volunteers work with Didlake staff to promote awareness of the Didlake mission and raise money to support its programs. In keeping with Didlake’s vision of communities enriched by the inclusion of people with disabilities in valued social roles, Didlake has emphasized partnerships with other community organizations when shaping its fundraising efforts. For instance, for the past two years Didlake has participated as a Charity Partner with the Marine Corps Marathon.
About Jacob's Ladder
Jacob's Ladder was created in 1991 specifically for gifted children who have an extraordinary ability to excel academically but come from situations that make it difficult for them to succeed or reach their full-potential.
Jacob's Ladder is a five year, year round, highly structured academic and life-skill, mentoring and advocacy program with a 4-6 week summer residential program.
