Team Odyssey is the official running team for the Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation.  It's mission is to grow into a nationwide team in order to raise awareness of this rare pediatric cancer, as well as, find and fund a cure by raising money for research on the disease and treatments.

The founding members of Team Odyssey are currently training for the Pittsburgh Marathon in May 2011.  We are utilizing this event as the date that we would like to reach our fundraising goal.   We hope that people will join Team Odyssey all across the country to train and race in marathons and races  in support of our cause.  We would love to see other "branches" of Team Odyssey emerge.  We also hope that people will generously donate to CNCF through this site. 

One of our founding members had two children diagnosed with this disease in 1999.  Her daughter survived and her son died in 2004.  Team Odyssey was created out of her grief for her son's death, celebration of her daughter's survival and her own love of running.  The Fundraising target was set as $12, 118.90 in recognition of her son's birthday of 12-11-89.

Even if one child and family is spared from the horrors of this deadly and aggressive disease, the goal of Team Odyssey will have been reached.
