Support Team RISE - Help Build Schools
Thank you for visiting the Team RISE fundraising page!
The Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2009 was Team RISE's first marathon event. We had a huge goal to raise $80,000 to build a school in Angola, Africa. Amazingly, enough money was raised to build two schools. One is completed and the 2nd is currently under construction in villages where there has never been a school. Over 1300 kids now have the opportunity to receive an education.
This year we have expanded the event to include two Chicago Half Marathons, as well as the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Our goal is to raise funds to build 3 schools in rural Angola.
2 U-shape schools and 1 L-shape school - $210,000
All Team RISE runners will run for one cause - to educate 2100 children!
Please join us in supporting our runners. If you don't know any of our runners, or if you would like to support several of them, you can donate through this Team RISE page. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is an efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
Those of us who are not running can be an encouragement to our runners throughout their training and especially on their race days. Give us a call or check our website to see how you can be a support to Team RISE.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
