Our future combined families (Erin and Cynthia Malone, Pat, Larry, and Matt Gershik) have decided to walk the LA Marathon 5K on March 17th for the charity that Erin works for, Child S.H.A.R.E. Child S.H.A.R.E. finds homes for abused and neglected children in the foster care system, giving them a chance to have a safe and stable home. I'm sending this in hopes that you may consider donating to the cause in support of our team, to help find more children loving families and homes. Every dollar counts, so no amount is too small! $2,500 is how much it costs to find a child a home through Child S.H.A.R.E., so if 100 people donate $25, a child can find a home. Our goal as a family is to be able to find 2 homes, that's $5,000! We know the goal is steep, but it is well worth it. Thank you so much for considering donating to Child S.H.A.R.E.! By donating to Child S.H.A.R.E., you will help find safe, stable and loving homes for abused children in the foster care system. Each step we take in the LA Marathon and each dollar raised will help to transform the lives of abused children. 

For over 25 years Child S.H.A.R.E. has successfully partnered with local organizations to recruit, train and support foster and adoptive parents. With nearly 50,000 children in Southern California’s foster care system, there is a critical need for Child S.H.A.R.E.’s services.

To date, Child S.H.A.R.E. has recruited over 900 families who provide foster homes.  These foster homes bring stability and love to over 2,800 abused children.

Impressively, Child S.H.A.R.E. families adopt foster children placed with them at over twice the national adoption rate.  On any given day over 600 children are lovingly cared for by Child S.H.A.R.E. families.
