I'm happy to announce this year that I'm running the Falmouth Road Race in support of a worthy, Cape Cod charity, the Falmouth Military Support Group. This group is dedicated to supporting the Falmouth area's service members both overseas, and upon their return home.

This is my first foray into running a race as a fund raiser. Due to some changes in the timing of this year's Falmouth Road Race entry deadline I missed my chance to enter the race's bib lottery. Rather than accept missing the race I scanned the list of associated charities with guaranteed bibs. There are many worthy charities associated with this great race, but the Falmouth Military Support Group really caught my eye. I try to support, as much as funds permit, various efforts to provide aid to our armed forces. I couldn't let an opportunity to help area vets, and, hopefully, secure a spot in one of my favorite races of the year pass me by.

I understand that these are tough times for everybody, cash flow is challenging, and there are lots of folks hitting you up for you for various, worthy, fundraising efforts. I hope that you can spare a donation, no amount is too little (or too great), and support a worthy local charity dedicated to helping local members of the US armed forces who have given so much to  all of us through their service.
