of the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation (EDNF)
who are afflicted with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)
You can show your support for them as well as for our other members and everyone with EDS by helping EDNF continue their important work.
People with EDS have a defect in their connective tissue that provides support to many body parts like the skin, muscles, ligaments, organs and even the brain. Basically, their bodies don't make collagen correctly. Collagen is the "glue" that holds the body together. EDS is genetic and as of today researchers have only been able to identify about 25% of the genes responsible for EDS. Unfortunately, until they can identify the actual gene there is no possibility of finding a way to reverse the effects of EDS.
