Medcenter One Great American Bike Race Bismarck ,  North Dakota

Terri Woo's Fundraising Page

I can go for miles and miles and miles...... I hope! lol!  ;)

With a little help from you, I'll be extra motived to ride plenty of miles in support of this year's Great American Bike Race.

I am riding with Team 'Michael's Maniacs II'

My dear family friend, Michael Kaip, 15, has benefited so much over the years thanks to GABR and its supporters.

Michael is a freshman at Mandan high, he aspires to be a Latin teacher and someday hopes to travel through Europe.

This year, Michael was assisted in obtaining a brand-new recumbent bike!  His mom, Annette, tells me it's coming with all the bells and whistles!  So this time of year, most of us now have one more reason to be wishing for warmer weather to come! ( Thanks to Barry, from Barry's Bikes of Bismarck, this new ride will be put together and tuned up in no time! )

GABR has also helped pay for a large portion of an electronic stimulation system that has freed Michael from cumbersome braces, it has strengthened his muscles, in turn, helping him to walk with a more normal gate pattern.

And just for extra motivation, yes, my two older sisters will be riding on our team- this just amped up the competition level folks! So instead of placing your bets on the table, feel free to come cheer on your favorite sister and watch us put our money where our mouths are!  Su-lin will be our first rider at 9am, I will follow her lead at 9 :30am, and Deb will round out the three sisters at 10am!

This Years race takes place April 10th at Century High in Bismarck (1000 E Century Ave).  The first racer starts at 9am, there are ten racers per team who will ride 25 minutes each, with a 5 minute break between racers.  The event is open to the public to come and cheer their favorite teams on!

Please consider showing your support for Michael, his team of riders, and the many others who participate and benefit from your proceeds.  This is just one of many events that help remind us that doing good for others can be great fun and is very rewarding!

"Let me be a little kinder, Let me be a little blinder To the faults about me; Let me praise a little more, Let me be, when I am weary; Just a little bit more cheery, Let me serve a little better Those that I am striving for. Let me be a little braver When temptation bids me waver, Let me strive a little harder To be all that I should be; Let me be a little meeker to the brother that is weaker; Let me think more of my neighbor and a little less of me.
