As many of you know, I have been on the board of the Samaritans, Inc. for six years and I am looking forward to the 5K and Family Festival next Saturday, October 3 at Artisani Park.  The 5K is a wonderful celebration of life, and is a major fundraiser for the Samaritans.  Please support the work of the Samaritans by participating in the 5K, helping as a volunteer, or making a financial contribution.  Samaritans is an organization devoted to reducing the incidence of suicide by alleviating despair, isolation and suicidal feelings among individuals in our community.  Demand for these services has increased, so please help to support the Samaritans!!
